It was at this point that I became dissatisfied with my camera and lens. This Black Rumped Golden Flameback Woodpecker was extremely shy and retiring. He'd hide behind the trunk and it took some nifty footwork to snap him before he decided he had had enough.
What I missed was a quickly responding camera, a little bit more zoom and greater sharpness at that point.
Camera used: Nikon D5100 DSLR with AF-S DX NIKKOR 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6G VR Lens.
