Asian koel: Eudynamys scolopaceus ; Hindi: Koel; Sanskrit: Kuhukantth; Telugu: Kokila.
He's a cuckoo but a very melodious one. Poets have waxed lyrical on his song which goes kuhu kuhu, sometimes drawn out, kuOoo kuOoo.
